# Create an account & sign in
> Sign up for TrueCurrent on mobile with your email or phone number, or continue with Apple or Google. Set up in under a minute and start trading.
Getting started on TrueCurrent mobile takes less than a minute. Sign up with your email, phone number, or your Apple /Google account. No seed phrases, no browser extensions.
## Sign-in options
When you first open the app, you'll see four ways to get in:
* **Email** – Sign up or sign in with your email address
* **Phone number** – Use your mobile number with SMS verification
* **Continue with Apple** – One-tap sign-in with your Apple ID (iOS)
* **Continue with Google** – One-tap sign-in with your Google account
Whichever method you choose, TrueCurrent creates and secures a wallet for you automatically in the background. You get a **self-custodial** trading account without ever managing a private key yourself.
## Sign up with email
1. Open the TrueCurrent app
2. Tap **Continue with Email**
3. Enter your email address and tap **Next**
4. Check your inbox for a 6-digit verification code
5. Enter the code to confirm your email
6. Your account is ready to use
## Sign up with phone number
1. Tap **Continue with Phone**
2. Select your country code and enter your mobile number
3. Tap **Send code**
4. Enter the 6-digit SMS code you receive
5. Your account is ready to use
## Continue with Apple
1. Tap **Continue with Apple**
2. Confirm with Face ID, Touch ID, or your device passcode
3. Choose whether to share or hide your email
4. You're signed in instantly, and your account is ready to use
## Continue with Google
1. Tap **Continue with Google**
2. Select the Google account you want to use
3. Approve the permission prompt
4. You're signed in instantly, and your account is ready to use
After signing in, you will automatically land in the **Markets** screen.
## Signing back in
Your session stays active between app launches. If you sign out or switch devices, just choose the **same method** you originally signed up with and you'll return to the same account: Same balances, positions, and referral status.
Always sign in with the **same method** you used to create your account. Signing in with a different method (for example, email instead of Google) creates a **separate** account.
## Already on desktop?
If you started on TrueCurrent desktop, sign in on mobile with the **same login method** to access the same account. Your positions, balances, and referral status carry over automatically. Nothing to sync or migrate.
## Troubleshooting
**Didn't receive the email code**: Check your spam folder and confirm that your email address is spelled correctly. You can tap **Resend code** after 60 seconds.
**Didn't receive the SMS code**: Make sure you selected the correct country code, your phone number is correct, and have signal. Tap **Resend code** to try again.
**"Continue with Apple/Google" doesn't complete**: Confirm you're signed into your Apple ID or Google account in your device settings. Then close and reopen the app, before trying again.
